Worshipful Master’s Message

Visitors, brothers, and friends,

As Worshipful Master for the 2017 term, and on behalf of all our officers, I’d like to thank you for stopping by and visiting our website. Our Lodge has been a part of the Odenton community since 1908. Unlike many other lodges, we are a working lodge. What do I mean by working lodge, you ask? The brethren, working in part with Odenton Chapter #29, Order of the Eastern Star, hold a monthly breakfast, dinner, and a bingo every Monday night, which are all open to the public, just to mention a few.

We do host seasonal events (breakfast with Santa, Easter Egg Hunt, etc.), so be sure to check our upcoming event calendar. If you are a fellow member of the Masonic fraternity visiting from another town or jurisdiction, we would be honored to welcome you to our meetings and events. If you are interested in learning more about what it is to be a Mason, please contact us for more information.

Being located near Ft. George G. Meade, Odenton Lodge has enjoyed a close relationship with our Masonic brethren in the armed forces and has served as host to many Masons who were far from their home lodges, as well as initiating many new candidates. We honor our serving men and women worldwide as well as our veterans. We have more about our lodge’s rich history and connection with our serving men and women on this website. We also have the privilege to have on our grounds the only memorial honoring the members of our Armed Forces in Odenton.

I’d like to wish you and your family a safe and prosperous 2017. Please get in touch with any questions, comments, or concerns you may wish to bring.

Fraternally,
Elon Jerome (E.J.) Hanlon Jr.
Worshipful Master, Odenton Lodge #209
